i realised that despite best efforts to promote bonding, it can never truly happen unless one allows oneself or opens one's mind to that concept. and i realised that despite working with some individuals for 2 years, i really don't know them that well. and after today, i really feel no desire to want to get to know them better.

it may have been a very insignificant thing such as refusing to take photographs, but i think if you keep your mind close to even taking photos together for a newsletter, how can you open your mind to getting to know others? a picture paints a thousand words, but the refusal to take them says much more.

are you afraid of looking bad? or the wrinkles that might appear? your size? what is wrong with taking photos? what's wrong with taking for memory sake? is it so hard to just smile? whatever happened to 'it takes lesser muscles to smile than frown'. it's not like i'm sticking you with a hedious monster and taking a photo and posting it up on the WWW...

despite the fact that i asked nicely. when i could have just taken really bad shots of you with your mouths opened and stuff your faces with food. and i could have just put that up for the newsletter. or i could edit your photos and put like mean captions like DINO. unfortunately, for a company who claims to be filled with dynamic people, these ladies are soooo not dynamic.

that said, i wonder what kinda response we'll have if we organised a team building experience. will they participate? highly doubt it. they'd prob just complain like hell about why we need to attend such stupid things when they already have so much to do back in the office, and the company should just give them leave in lieu for that. (on the flipside, they might not be as exposed to embrace teambuilding exercises with an open mind and positive attitude)

but you know what? whatever. seriously... i'm just happy being where i am now. cos at least i know these people are more fun loving and DYNAMIC than you guys. ^_^ so yes.. you guys can sit in your chairs, grow fat, complain and be jealous of us.

sidenote: sometimes you realise that some people aren't just worth your time and energy to be a good friend to. seriously. if someone chooses to be so secretive and what nots (due to some weird genetic make up of their brains) then really, we don't have to waste time on her/him. you can only be a good friend to a certain extent. you can't be more if the person doesn't put in the effort. but well carpe diem. there's always plenty of other fishes in the sea.
